Could it be a white Christmas?
Yes it could; all the signs are there, that the last third of the month will see the right conditions for some decent snow.
Snow watchers should start to get excited around the 20th of the month I reckon.
All about the weather, Personal Weather Stations, Ballogie and surrounding area in Scotland.

Notice how we have had no wind between 13:30 Yesterday and 08:30 today?
Well we haven't had a lot, in fact it has been particularly calm but a frozen windy thing didn't help.
First 'proper' snow of the winter this morning.
Not for long though, so make the most of it, should only last a day or so.
We see that there appears to be a bit of a cool spell on the way for early next week, so enjoy! could even be a little snow with it, at ballogie weather levels at least.
Noticed plenty on the hills today anyway....
Looks like more wind and rain for us for the next couple of days...
But while we hold onto our hats and and moan about the odd bit of mud up here lets hold a wee thought for those in Cumbria who continue to be battered...
Looking forward for all those waiting for snow, it looks like it will be the end of December before we get anything worthy of note.... Lets see!!!
October was the wettest month of the year so far and everyone in this area of Scotland seem to be fed up with all the rain.
But things are changing and the climate, as we are so often told is becoming more unpredictable; So lets get used to it, live with it, see each new force the weather throws at us as a challenge, not just something to moan about. Embrace life and this wonderful area we live in; look around, there are always people worse of.
End of sermon......
Anyone notice our down time?
The station went down late on the 15th during bad weather and as at this time we were enjoying wonderful weather and hospitality in the far north of Scotland (near loch Tongue) the station stayed down till our return.
Sorry and all that, but breaks have to be taken and I'm sure that if the Davis software was more reliable then it would not be a problem!
Am thinking of changing software over the next winter anyway, any sugestions?
